People misunderstand feminism. They think of it as a war against men, or as the strange demands of women trying get some special privileges. But the truth is, it's a long and painful fight against discrimination based on the human gender. Men don't see the problem, because they are not the ones discriminated against. Women's rights - to be educated, to have a career, to be independent, to control their own bodies, to own a bank account, to vote, to walk around without being escorted by a man - all the things that we take for granted, are the results of the continuous fights and sacrifices of many women.
A tribute to all the feminists around the world. It is sad that we have to fight to be equal, but it is important that we do.
